The Thornton Age

Kiyoshi Niiyama enjoyed shooting with his Thornton-Pickard camera. These images were mostly taken between 1947-1969.

The photos were taken all over Japan, many in Tokyo and others in Ehime Prefecture. Common themes included Ehime and Hiroshima, People, Formative Beauty, Landscapes, Women, Light and Shadow, Experimental Techniques, and Nature.
